AVON HALTS RUSSIAN BUSINESS SALE.

According to a report in the Kommersant daily, Natura & Co-owned Avon has suspended plans to sell its business in Russia.

After halting investments and exports from its Russian plant following the invasion of Ukraine, Avon considered selling its manufacturing plant outside Moscow and its Cyrillic brand name rights in April 2023.

Natura &Co’s decision not to sell is believed to be due to the Russian requirement that foreign companies sell assets at significant discounts. Avon, which did not publicly comment on this decision, was Russia’s second-largest beauty products company in 2022.”
